At African Stories For Kids, we believe every child deserves to see the world through many lenses, including the rich and vibrant perspectives of Africa.

At African Stories For Kids, we believe that stories do more than entertain. They shape how children see themselves, how they understand others, and how they connect with the world around them.

In a time when children are surrounded by screens and reading can easily take a back seat, we want to bring the joy of books back into everyday family life. Because reading is not only about learning words. It builds language, imagination, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

As a mother and lifelong book lover, I also believe deeply in the power of stories to pass values from one generation to the next. Through books, children can discover their heritage, hear familiar languages, recognise their cultures and traditions, and learn about the many different stories that make up Africa and its diaspora. All told by African writers this time.

That is Why African Stories For Kids exists: to make beautiful, engaging and meangingful childrens books, by African writers, part of everyday reading.
